  Lovely beach, and the only one that technically permits dogs on the Île de Ré all year long from 100 metres West of the main entrance. That being said, locals themselves seem to ignore the signs on other beaches at certain times of the day. This beach has lovely sand, clear water, and nice rock pools when the tide is out. As per other beaches we've visited on the island, be careful of the beautiful jellyfish that occasionally drift close to shore (in June, at least). Don't let that put you off though! If you wander further up the beach you may get more than you bargained for as the naturists stand around with their bits out.

  What a wonderful surprise for the few hours we had left on Ilè de re! Long sandy stretch, protected dunes in the background and decent toilet and parking facilities.

  Toilets right next to the beach in the car park, clean, quiet, lovely sand, shallow water fit little ones.
