    • The cabin of « The Saunier Oyster » has been open since May 1, 2017. A place of production and tasting located in an atypical place, in the heart of the salt marshes. We go there by the cycle path which connects the commune of La Couarde to that of Loix, passing by the tower of Les Prises to reach the small port of Loidais and its famous tidal mill. It is possible to go by car and park in a car park less than 200 metres away.

      In a place in real and direct contact with nature, Jean and Thierry invite you to come and enjoy shellfish and crustaceans: oysters from the producer, clams, shrimps, plancha fricassee and other local products such as salicorne cream or "la Rhétaise" fish soup.

    We asked for a table when we arrived and were told a 20 min wait.which we happily did ..we were seated and our order was taken It was 1.5 hours later when we were still waiting we asked where are meal was to be told they no longer had more than half we ordered. SHAMBLES! We left and won't return. Very poor indeed.

    Great spot to cycle to for lunch in the sun amongst the oyster beds. We shared a mixed platter of seafood and a bottle of rose and all was right in the world.

    Everything was perfect: welcome, service, flavor. A very pleasant moment on this quiet terrace. The oysters are magnificent and the earthenware plate was excellent. Recommended. We will come back
