  I had high expectations for this place based on Google reviews, but the food was average to good and the ambience was overrated. Tables were placed very close to each other and privacy while having dinner was non existent. I could hear the person sitting next to me at the next table cleared that I could hear my partner across from me. We tried the 3- course menu with ceviche, steak and shrimps. All was ok, nothing spectacular, the shrimps were good and tasty but the steak was chewy and not great. The dessert was a bit better than the main course. I liked the street where the restaurant was, one was those happening downtownish pavement avenues with only people walking and no cars. I'll have to do a better job reading in between the lines in Google reviews next time.

  Really nice food and service. They were very busy on a Friday night however the waitress was extremely attentive and the food came very fast. The food was super tasty, with a lovely Asian twist. Salmon was super interesting with a lovely wasabi kick. Only complaint is we sat indoors and it was very hot with little airflow, but apart from that was really nice.

  Our best culinery experience of our short visit to LA. The standard of food throughout LA is excellent but Ginger is on another level. All I can say is whoever put together the beef tataki, salmon tataki and the beef tartare really knows delicate flavours. This "Frasian" experience, where french cuisine is met with an Asian twist, was the highlight of our trip. Leave this restaurant for last as nowhere will compare. Thank you to Sophie, front of house, who was very friendly and helpful. Thank you also to Enzo, chef, who shared the secrets of their beef tartare. Looking forward to next time.
