This new space takes place in the former Vivres store, classified as a historical monument, which has been completely renovated. Built in the 17th century by the engineer Louis-François Le Vau, architect of the buildings of King Louis XIV and member of the Royal Academy of Architecture, the building has not been modified to respect its authenticity.
Grégory Coutanceau, imagined his new address as a place of moments to share, from lunch to dinner, always with the common thread of seasonal products, from the Charente and south-west regions, favoring the good, the beautiful and the healthy.
On the 2nd floor of the building, clad in glass to immerse yourself in the Charente, these two spaces offer a menu of dishes exclusively cooked over charcoal. "For me, it's a childhood dream come true. I've always been driven by charcoal cooking. With this new address, I wanted to give priority to a real return to basics by offering traditional cooking. flame where seafood, meat and vegetables will rub shoulders on the grill" explains Grégory Coutanceau.
Grégory Coutanceau's new restaurant in Rochefort offers you grill cooking in a unique place with a kitchen close to you for the greatest pleasure of the eyes.
For the chef, it's a real return to basics with charcoal cooking of local products, all staged by a young and dynamic dining room team.
