Discover the salt marshes of the Charente-Maritime. They are major tourist sites of the region. Watch a modern Charentais salt-maker at work – using a rake to skim the surface of the saltpans to collect the salt, and learn how salt is produced and collected.  You can visit the salt marshes and taste their products.
