  We are a return customer as I love the hotel for its location, the spa, the restaurant and the wonderful people in this place. This hotel and spa were closed for renovations and reopened just before our visit in July 2023. I love how the new rooms, the guest areas (reception, lounge, restaurant) and the spa looked, in trendy colours and designer furniture (such as Norman Copenhagen, Kartell etc) all done by by an architecture firm in Paris. Unfortunately I didn't have time to take photos of the newly decorated room as we unpacked immediately after a long journey on the road. This hotel accepts pets with a small supplement. We brought our cat with us the previous time and we brought him again this time. We took the spa and half board package. As always the breakfast was sumptuous with a good variety, this is the first time I came across a hotel in France with fresh passion fruits for breakfast! I love the crepes. They even served fresh oysters and white wine to go with during breakfast on the Friday morning when we were there. The service is top-notch, from the housekeeping, they knew we had our cat with us, and ensured that they informed us when the cleaning was done, they kept the door shut to ensure that he didn't wander off. The team in the spa whom we have met from our previous visit. The team in the restaurant knew us and knew exactly the type of white wine to recommend. I recommend the "ris de veau" is a must! It was delicious. We also took the lobster option for dinner on Bastille Day, needless to add, was absolutely delicious! We even watched the beautiful Bastille Day fireworks from our balcony, what else to ask for?! Not to mention that we watched beautiful sunset each evening from our room or from the short stroll 3 minutes to stand on the cliff or to the beach or a swim in the ocean! A big thank you for the hotel, spa and restaurant teams for their warmth hospitality. We had a wonderful week in Royan!

  We stopped over en route from Spain to the UK. The hotel is being refurbished and looks modern and chic. My only minor criticism is the Chromecast didn't work. They have four EV charging points which is very helpful

  Felt as if sometimes, there werent people to let you order at the bar, etc. still a great experience, would choose this hotel if i were to return.
