    Palmyre is a beautiful place but if your looking for a great beach for swimming purposes look again. Wonderful for sitting in the sun but a tiny swimming area due to strong tidal currents. They do a great festival in June for Saint Jean that is absolutely amazing.

    Fantastic beach in a great location. The local ice cream stand is a draw for our daughter everything we visit....and us too.

    Sunday 29 January 2023 16h00 it's a sunny, crisp day, and thousands of people walk along the coast. The "Phare de Cordouan" is crystal clear on the horizon. Lovely day.

    The beach is clean and well lifeguarded. I don't think I have ever been to a beach with so many lifeguards for such a small swimming area. 4 were standing in the shallows and one on a high seat...

    Plenty of parking, but quite a walk to the actual beach if you have to carry a lot of stuff. Lifeguards present. Beach has been well maintained and is very clean.
