Les Confitures du Clocher Honeys / Jams in Ars-en-Ré

For 20 years, Les Confitures du Clocher have forged a solid reputation in the field of jams in Poitou-Charente.

The family business is one of the 10 most awarded companies in the Poitou Charentes flavor competition and was voted best jam maker in France in 2018.

The origins of jams go back to 1974, when Claude Heraudeau started producing strawberries. It very quickly became the specialist in Île-de-Ré, through the quality of the product and supplied the gastronomic tables of the region.

It was then that in 1983 Françoise Heraudeau started making strawberry jams. Thanks to the fame of the products and the quality of Françoise's jams, the success was immediate! The history of the Heraudeau family then begins... 25 years later, there are no less than 60 products, jams and pasta of fruits, which are handcrafted by Bertrand who took over the family business.

Today the company produces only a tiny part of the fruits used for making jams but rigorously selects them, according to the origin, the sugar level by ensuring that the fruits are collected when ripe.
