The garden of our room was filthy. It was not prepared for guests since summer 2023. The walls were disgusting with algae, weeds on the ground, chairs/sunbeds stained, patio full of spiders/dirt. When I showed photos to reception, the girl said "its complex". It is a pity about the garden as the rest of our stay was lovely. The cost to stay in your hotel is too expensive & breakfast is priced way too high!

Stayed at this hotel for my birthday at great expense as it was New Years Eve. We are regular visitors to the island but have never stayed here before. I was disappointed! The room was lovely but it was the Prestige Garden room with view of a garden, no garden view just a tree and a hedge and another building opposite. The terrace was nice. It was also detached from the main building which is not clear on web site. Having to go outside to get to the main building was not good as it rained a little and we were dressed up. Also no lighting on the way back. The bar did not open until 7. Which we wanted to take advantage of before we had dinner in the restaurant. There were no non alcoholic beverages for my husband to drink, just ginger beer. This is common in France and my husband gets really frustrated with this lack of choice for non- drinkers. How hard can it be? There was a live band playing that evening but where we placed in the restaurant, we could not hear the music. Not until we asked to be moved to another area in the main body of the restaurant to have our coffee could we start to enjoy the ambiance, this was about 11ish, by then the mood of the evening had gone. We had paid the same amount as everyone else ( which was considerable) but did not get the same experience. Not a great memory for my birthday celebrations!

Stopped off during a cycle ride from La Rochelle. Fantastic coastal view made me think I was in Caribbean. Ice cold lager was well received by our group. Not to be missed.

By some measures this is not a 5* hotel, but full on service and facilities aren’t always what is required. Lovely greeting when we arrived and upgraded to a luxury sea view suite. Lots of space and...

How can you claim yourselves a 5 star hotel when in the high season your bar closes at 10.30? To be honest we did get a last shot after a rainy day in la flotte. But against hotel policy and because...
