The hotel, a recently renovated 60-year-old building, is currently striving for five-star status. However, the inherent limitations of the old structure, including small room sizes and an awkward layout, left us feeling cramped and uneasy during our stay. The room quality was more akin to a standard business hotel rather than a luxury establishment. Even the spa facilities, which are typically a hallmark of a five-star hotel, were disappointing. The jacuzzi, which had been reported broken a year ago in a Google review, was still not functioning, and the spa room lacked essential amenities such as water, snacks, and shower soap. It was also disappointing that the breakfast was at the standard of a business hotel. Furthermore, severe security lapses led to our car being damaged in the parking lot, with no assistance available. These issues clearly indicate that the hotel has significant improvements to make before it can genuinely be considered a five-star establishment. Despite these shortcomings, our three-night stay had some positive aspects. The hotel's prime location, the sincere hospitality of the staff, and an excellent dinner (despite the restaurant being closed for two out of three nights) were commendable. However, these advantages are overshadowed by the hotel's current deficiencies.

Beautiful location. The front rooms with sea view are superb. The beach is miles long and beautiful. The hotel was designed by a Le Corbusier student and was built in 1964. It is in perfect condition.

This is a five-star hotel where the food and facilities match the rating. We tried two of the set menus and both did not disappoint. The sommelier guided our choice of wines and both were superb...

  • "Absolutely not a 4 star hotel! Disappointing!"

With the rooms prices and the 4 stars I expected something else: nothing in this hotel equals a 4 stars hotel except maybe the pool and outdoor garden area. Indeed, the view on the ocean is...

We arrived at the hotel and during the check-in process I asked if I could book a table in the restaurant that evening? I was then informed that the restaurant was closed in January 2019. I then...
