L'Escalle Enjoy fresh, local produce at the Martrou food bar

L'esscale is the bar and restaurant in Martrou, located in the former coaching inn called "Auberge de la Malle-Poste" in Échillais, a stone's throw from the Transporter Bridge opposite Rochefort.

A true haven of peace on the banks of the Charente, this beautifully restored 18th ^- century building welcomes you to its terrace or its warm rooms to recharge your batteries with friends, family or alone, whether you are passing by on foot, by bike or by car.

L'escalle offers drinks and seasonal food prepared from fresh and local products (homemade savory and sweet dishes, charcuterie boards, cheeses, vegetarian), with set menus from €15 to €30.

Cultural and themed events are programmed throughout the year (exhibitions, concerts, theatre, conferences, cinema, etc.).

The venue can be booked for private events such as company meals and family gatherings (birthdays, retirements, exam successes, etc.), with the option of live music. Brunch is available upon reservation.
