A family business from father to son since 1937, Maison Margat invites you to stop for a break in its establishment to discover its production of oysters and mussels raised from A to Z in Fouras. A know-how passed down for 5 generations.
As the only shellfish farmers in the area, it is possible to purchase these products and other seafood (platters to order) at retail and/or to taste them in an idyllic setting in the designated tasting area. Authenticity, conviviality and tranquility are the key words of the House.
On the menu from April to October? A sea cure: oysters, mussels and chips (in season), crab, pink shrimp, brown shrimp, whelks... All this, almost with your feet in the water!
Didier, Mike, Laurent, Faustine and Laëtitia welcome you to Maison Margat throughout the year (opening hours vary depending on the season).
Schedules :
- January : CLOSED.
- February to mid-May : school holidays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- May to early November : 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- December : school holidays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
