Located in the commune of Yves, between Châtelaillon-Plage and Fouras, the Huîtres Saveurs Nacrées hut is an oyster farm run by the Marié family, oyster producers for several generations. Accessible all year round, it offers takeaway sales of seasonal seafood, as well as a range of carefully selected regional products. This place is part of a direct sales approach, allowing visitors to discover the reality of the oyster farming profession.

A tasting with a view of Yves Bay

The cabin is ideally located by the sea, with a clear view of the bay of Yves, the island of Aix and the coast of Fouras. Visitors can enjoy a moment of seafood tasting, in a peaceful setting facing the ocean. Access is directly from the coastal promenade between Châtelaillon-Plage and Yves, very popular with walkers, cyclists or rollerbladers. This location at the edge of the route makes it a popular stop for a gourmet break in the great outdoors.

In addition to freshly harvested oysters, the Huîtres Saveurs Nacrées cabin offers a selection of local products : fish soups, artisanal rillettes, sardines, pineau des Charentes... All products come from local or regional sources. Temporary exhibitions of artists from the region are regularly organized on site, strengthening the link between local culture and maritime gastronomy.

An oyster vending machine is located in the immediate vicinity of the hut, allowing the purchase of fresh produce outside of opening hours. Located in an area where unspoiled nature meets vibrant maritime heritage, the Huîtres Saveurs Nacrées cabin is a great starting point for exploring Charente Maritime. In the immediate vicinity, the Marais d'Yves nature reserve offers walks and birdwatching opportunities related to coastal ecosystems. The easily accessible seaside resort of Châtelaillon-Plage offers a fine sandy beach, a covered market, a casino, and summer activities.

Further south, Fouras-les-Bains offers a boat trip to the island of Aix from the Pointe de la Fumée, or a visit to the fortifications of Fort Vauban.
