Grande Plage de Châtelaillon The Beaches of Charente Maritime in Châtelaillon-Plage

The Châtelaillon seafront is very pleasant with its large 2km Boulevard stretching along the sand (and what about the sunsets!). Along the beach, there are restaurants at nice prices and parking lots. At high tide, you can swim there, but not at low tide, because the ocean retreats very far at this point on the coast. You can kite surf there and also walk with your pet outside of the very high summer season. The beach is supervised in summer, it is popular with families, because swimming is safe with few waves.
