Parc de l'estuaire Nature Reserves in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne

The Parc de l'Estuaire is part of the municipality of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, not far from Royan. This site is located in the mouth , at the meeting point between the river and the Atlantic Ocean. The park, classified as “Échappées Nature”, protects a wetland and forest, which is home to many reptiles. You enter the world of frogs, toads and newts, the star of which is the Thorny Toad ! Indeed, the ponds of the forest of Suzac are one of its favorite nesting sites.
