La baie de Talmont sur Gironde Nature Reserves in Talmont-sur-Gironde

The Bay of Talmont-sur-Gironde is a magnificent natural site. This bay, formed by the Sandbank of Deau , is located near the mouth, at the end of the Gironde estuary , and therefore at the junction between the river and the ocean. The mouth is closed on the Gironde side by the Pointe de Grave . On the Charente Maritime side, it is a series of points, in particular the Pointe de Suzac and the Pointe de Meschers , followed by sandbanks, forming bays, which mark out the shore of the mouth.
