Among them, the largest castle in Charente Maritime with its listed gardens and guided tour, not to mention original games for children. This unique historical heritage offers you the opportunity to spend more than 3 hours of leisure time to go out with your family, from prehistoric times to the present day.

Our goal is to bring this site steeped in history to life, through testimonials, courses, workshops, exhibitions, shows, and various activities throughout the year, for a relaxed and instructive day, whether you are alone, as a couple, between friends or family.

Thanks to your presence, we can maintain this castle of Charente Maritime, heritage of our Saintonge.

Very good tour inside. I love how the owners brought it back to life, by filling it with furniture from about the same period. The kitchen is amazing with the roasting roller. The terracotta floor is magnificent, totally fall in love with it. Gardens - spacious and well mannered

What a wonderful castle. Amazing location and gardens. We came here (in August) on a wonderful, sunny day. Surprisingly there were not many visitors. Probably due to Covid-19. For 8.50 you can walk around the grounds and the gardens freely. And it is quite a big garden with a wonderful pond, actually more of a little lake I'd say. Everything was well taken care of. We were lucky to bring our dog in, since she was in a completely covered (and closed) stroller. I'm thankful for that, if not, my wife and me would have had to take turns to visit. It's just an amazing castle. It's like you step back in time or you feel like you enter a fairy tale here. It's breathtaking. Be sure to walk the whole garden and go to the very end - up to the steps. The views from there are beautiful. We didn't have time to enter the castle this time - since we also planned to walk to the grottes afterwards. For only 8.50 you can roam around the whole area and you can visit the absolutely amazing grottes. The caves/caverns where prehistoric men lived. It's a very very special place and I've never seen one up-close. You even can walk around inside the caves - all by yourself. I enjoy history - and this is a great lesson in history. Be sure not to miss it when you visit the castle. It's a nice walk through the forest from here. For the entrance fee you get a lot. Imagine how much it costs to keep this castle, the garden and the ground in shape. That costs money and manpower. The entrance fee is more than fair. It's a great deal. Bathroom and picknick facilities are also on the grounds as is a smaller restaurant and a souvenir shop at the entrance. A wonderful experience, we stayed much longer than planned. A fantastic visit!
