    • Welcome to Royan on the Atlantic coast!

A mix of old and modern

Renowned for its coastline and unique architecture, it is hard to believe that Royan was almost destroyed during the Second World War. It was then rebuilt in a very unique style, between contemporary and local influences. There are buildings with rounded shapes and bright colors, which gives it an inimitable retro charm.

A lively seaside resort in Charente-Maritime

Royan has many fine sandy beaches, ideal for swimming, water sports or walking. The seafront is lively, with many bars, restaurants and shops. If you come in summer, one thing is sure: you will not be bored!

      An important heritage

Despite the destruction of the war, the Royan city has managed to preserve certain elements of its heritage:

      • Notre-Dame Church : a modern building that dominates the city.
      • The central market is also an essential place to discover local products from Charente-Maritime.

      Activities for everyone
