    • Perched on a peninsula, Talmont-sur-Gironde, a former citadel, offers an exceptional panorama over the estuary and its carrelets (fishermen's huts built on stilts).

Its small white houses, its maze of narrow streets invite you to stroll.

The Sainte-Radegonde church, in the Saintonge Roman style, is built on a promontory, inside, suspended from the vault, an ex-voto frigate is classified as a historic monument. A tiny marine cemetery adjoins the religious building.

The ramparts walk allows you to tour the village and admire very beautiful views.

2 km to the east, the Gallo-Roman site of Fâ, a former port city, allows you to immerse yourself in history with a restored sanctuary and thermal baths.
