Once upon a time, there were three childhood friends who decided to buy a restaurant. After a few months of negotiations, the deal was signed on Friday March 13, 2020. Three days later, the world stopped, stay home.

This restaurant has its history, so do buyers.

Oliver and Xavier, friends since boarding school in 4th year, and Charline, wife of Xavier and friend of the two boys since high school: a long story there too... After different paths of life (Bordeaux for one, Parisian for the two others), the three friends meet on the Ile de Ré.

After a first experience in catering with Le Clocher (Ars en Ré), Xavier has a new project, even crazier than the first: to buy back the Chat Botté.

So here we are in March 2020. The restaurant signed, Olivier worked every day to create this new place, which looks like all three of them. Intensive period in a context that can be described today as historic.

On Wednesday June 24, 2020 La Villa was born. A great success from the first days. Four months later, La Villa closed its doors until June 2021: the success of the summer of 2020 was largely confirmed in 2021. People come there to enjoy a breakfast in front of the market, for lunch of clams, oysters , salads, pancakes, fish of the day... Dinner of a beautiful prime rib to share. And finish with a delicious cocktail created by Léa, while watching the garden of the Villa adorn itself with soft evening colors.
