Kayakomat Marennes, a new self-service canoe and paddleboard rental base on Marennes beach in Charente-Maritime.

Renting paddleboards, single-seater canoes or two-seater canoes in Marennes is now possible! A self-service rental station, as is the case for bicycles, is located on the beach , near the first aid station. On site, 9 quality boats (2 stand-up paddleboards, 4 single-seater canoes and 2 two-seater canoes) are available from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week. Gilles, the local operator, who is behind this original formula, works in collaboration with the international canoe and paddleboard manufacturer "Point 66 Sweden" and the "Camping Slow Villages" in Marennes.

Everything is included in the rental: boats , life jackets (designed for 40 to 120 kg) and paddles. There is the possibility of staying on the local 50-hectare lake, located a few meters from the rental base, where children can also practice in complete safety, or of going sailing on the Seudre and its various small oyster ports (Chaillevette, Mornac-sur-Seudre, Nieulle-sur-Seudre, L'Éguille-sur-Seudre, Arvert, etc.).

This sporting and fun activity, without ever being dangerous, allows you to diversify the various activities already offered on the beach of Marennes. It is installed from the end of April to the end of October so that both holidaymakers and locals can enjoy it. The rental is very simple on your mobile phone thanks to an internet application and a smart padlock, which releases the chosen boat for the duration of your choice thanks to a unique code.
