The Mouth of the Seudre extends over the municipality of La Tremblade, on the south shore, and over that of Marennes to Pointe du Chapus , on the north shore. It includes several bays and handles on either side of its main bed. On the Marennes side, be sure to visit the Cité de l'Huître , with its oyster beds. Then extend the walk along the Bay of Marécareuil , the to the Pont d'Oléron . To cross the mouth, the Seudre Viaduct spans the river. To discover the other side of the mouth, just follow a path along the coast between the Pointe de Mus de Loup and the Pointe aux Herbes , then walk along the beaches bordering the Banc de Ronce , until the Anse du Galon d'Or and the Baie de l'Embellie.
