  What a shame! The accommodations are really not up to the standard of the surroundings! Our cabin, rented for a week, reeked of an unbearable musty smell and was full of mold (a health hazard). Despite our request to change locations, we ended up with the same unbearable odor in the second cabin! We couldn't even complete our week-long stay. We left after four days. Again, it's a real shame this campsite isn't better maintained because the setting is very pleasant. We were extremely disappointed. When we got home, we had to clean absolutely everything, including our hairbrush, because the smell was so strong!

  I have mixed feelings about this campsite due to the negative points described below. I would still recommend it, but keep in mind that it's not a luxury campsite. (It's a basic campsite and is well-located near the shops on Île de Ré). ---- Positive Points - The staff are very friendly, warm, and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurants. - The small farm is interesting for children. - A laundry room is available. - The price is very reasonable in the off-season (we booked 4 nights and 5 days for €234 in a basic cabin (2-bedroom comfort cabin). - The setting is very pleasant and the campsite is close to everything (Leclerc, Intermarché, bakery, chocolate shop, etc.). Very convenient for everyday life. - The campsite has a restaurant (serving very good food) and a pizzeria (the pizzas are also very good). - Cleaning supplies (broom, mop) are provided in the basic cabin (comfort cabin). - Basic utensils (knives, forks, spoons, plates, glasses, mugs, bowls, etc.) and small appliances (toaster, coffee maker) are provided in the basic cabins. ------- Negative points - There was a very strong, persistent sewer smell in the shower cubicle throughout our entire stay. The smell was truly nauseating and... The plumbing didn't leave a good impression. - It's listed as having two bedrooms, but it would be helpful to clarify that it's more like one bedroom for two adults and one bedroom for two children. The two adults will only be able to sleep in the downstairs bedroom. The ceiling upstairs is very low. Several times I hit my head on the low beam because I forgot to duck or got out of bed without adjusting my back (and I'm not very tall - 1.68m). If you're tall or have back problems, sleeping upstairs can be difficult. - The lights have a problem; even when they're switched off, the tungsten wire remains glowing. This is very bothersome for sleeping at night. - The description stated that the pool was heated. During our stay (October/November), we were told upon arrival that the pool wasn't heated... We were therefore unable to use it. To avoid misleading customers, it would be more accurate to indicate the dates when the pool is heated. ---- Other Points No hygiene products (shower gel, dish soap) are provided. A few rolls of toilet paper were provided.
