  We stayed at Camping de l’Île Blanche and have very fond memories of our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming woman. She gave us a lovely bag with a small welcome kit, which I found very thoughtful and kind. Then, a gentleman took over to show us the location of our mobile home on the map. Regarding the mobile home, it was a shame it didn't have air conditioning, but it was very well laid out, clean, and equipped with a lovely covered terrace. The campsite itself is very well maintained, with beautiful flowerbeds that make the place very pleasant. The pool area was also very nice, as was the jacuzzi, which we really enjoyed. We didn't try the hammam, but the area looked very inviting. We had to return the mobile home by 10:00 AM on Monday. We asked if it was possible to leave later, and the receptionist kindly agreed since the accommodation wasn't being rented out after our stay. We were therefore able to leave around 4 pm without any extra charge, which was really much appreciated. Two members of my family then came to pick me up and spent the night and the following day with me. I had asked at reception if there was an extra charge, and the receptionist told us no, which once again demonstrates their kindness and excellent customer service. We also tried the campsite restaurant: the food was very good, and the staff were generally attentive, friendly, and smiling. The only slight drawback was a waitress who seemed a little hesitant when answering our questions about the menu and a bit less cheerful, although she was still pleasant. In short, we had a very good stay and we happily recommend this campsite.

  We just spent a week at Camping L’île Blanche on Île de Ré. Overall, our stay was very pleasant: the campsite is well-located, quiet, clean, and offers quality facilities. However, we would like to raise an important point. The campsite emphasizes its “dog-friendly” policy, which influenced our choice. However, upon arrival, we discovered a strict prohibition against dogs relieving themselves on the campsite grounds. In our case, our dogs were taken out all day, and their presence at the campsite was limited to evenings and nights, with at most one occasional need (morning/evening), which was, of course, cleaned up and dealt with carefully. This rule seemed difficult to enforce in practice, especially with a senior dog, and particularly inconsistent with the promise of a pet-friendly campsite. We understand the desire to maintain a clean environment, but such a restriction should be clearly stated and made available before booking, as it can significantly influence the decision of dog owners. In summary: a very good campsite in many aspects, but communication needs improvement regarding the conditions for welcoming animals.
