    • The Paléosite first interpretation center in Europe and one of the most modern in the world thanks to contemporary technologies.

Come and experience prehistory as if you were there.

On the program of your visit:
An interior journey in an air-conditioned space of 2000 m², including three cinematographic rooms and two interactive rooms (projections on large screens, virtual reality, quizzes, comparison workshops, life-size prehistoric animals…).

A shaded outdoor course in a natural site of 18 hectares with reconstructions of prehistoric habitats and daily entertainment: Lighting the fire, flint cutting, parietal art, shooting with a propellant. Participatory workshops are offered on certain days by reservation at reception; clay modeling, archaeological excavations every morning, live my life as a Neanderthal, hunter's trail...

Without forgetting the guided tour of the archaeological site, an authentic place of discovery, which comes back to the fore every summer with the excavation campaigns planned this year from mid-June to mid-July 2023; you will then be able to observe the archaeologists in action!

A family outing dedicated to knowledge and fun in a protected natural setting.

The average length of visit is 3 to 4 hours.

Good theme park but wish it could have offered more activities. Overall the visit can take less than an hour. However, they have some activities/demonstrations showing how Neanderthal hunted, made crafts or fire. These are good enough for kids and interested adults. Overall not a must visit place but good enough to spend few hours esp during their demos

A beautiful museum for sharing time with children and learning things about the paleolitic. The exhibition is very contemporary, but there is a lack of objectivity recarding gender. They are presenting paleolotic women as video game warriors, forgetting the women sculptures and the short life period during which they were suppose to have at least 6 to 8 children to insure some of them to survive.

Our whole family enjoyed this day out. It was remarkably quiet with perhaps only a dozen or so other family groups, most French, on a glorious late August Sunday. The film shows were engaging and...
