Located in the town of St Georges d'Oléron, La Ferme aux Ânes is a place to discover with your family.
From the free visit to the "Little Farmers" workshops, through the donkey tours or the carriage tours, all our activities are adapted to the different public welcomed.
Created in 2008, the agricultural company "Les Ânes d'Oléron" is mainly based on equids, including the Baudet du Poitou.
From the annual pension to the training in asinine traction through the reception of the public in situation of handicap, the free visits of the pedagogical farm and the cleaning of the beaches assisted by the donkeys, this structure values the asinine species in all its virtues.
Moreover since 2022, the structure has developed in the services of eco-pasture with a herd of Poitevin goats and ewes Landes de Bretagne. The various animations on the Farm will allow you to discover our profession of breeder.
A store with organic donkey milk soaps, children's books and cuddly toys will complete your visit to the farm.
Without forgetting our local organic bar where you can taste our beer "Île et Elle" or our lemonades from Oleron.Family activities
- Free visit of the educational farm
In autonomy, you will walk on a marked out course along our parks to discover the animals of the farm. Breeders of mostly local breeds, you will approach the Baudets du Poitou, the Traits Poitevins and the Poitevin mules. The educational farm has been expanded since the arrival of the cows from Marais, the pigs from Gascony, the goats from Poitou and the sheep from Brittany. The only exception in the origin of our animals, you will fall in love with the fleeces of the Swiss sheep, the Nez Noirs du Valais.
The visit costs 3,5€/pers, count 1 hour- Handi'âne
Our individual sessions are mainly based on the awakening of the senses, the contact, the relationship with the animal, the feeling of its breathing, its smells, its movements... According to the handicap, we can make of the portage, the harnessing or exercises of course of motor skills with the donkeys.

Imagine 1 guide just for you during 30 minutes or 1 hour.
From the general discovery of the farm to the feeding animation, you will enjoy this individualized activity for your family.

- Little farmers" workshops
Let us take care of your children for 2 hours of activity adapted for children from 5 to 12 years old. Groups of 4 to 8 children per animator.
The themes are diversified in order to be able to enjoy this activity several times in the same week without repetition.
With the donkey as a guideline, your children will learn to brush him, walk him, feed the pigs or go pet the goats, sheep and cows.
