Théo Chereau, goldsmith in pastry
By starting his classes at Christopher Coutanceau, a 3-star restaurant in the Michelin guide, he learned the rigor and the basics of pastry, before doing an additional mention in chocolate. Aged 18, he decided to refine his know-how in starred establishments in London. With this experience across the Channel and eager to learn from the great Parisian houses, he joined the Bristol. He then incorporated that of the Parisian caterer Potel & Chabot, alongside Marc Rivière, crowned pastry world champion, before returning to La Rochelle and opening his very first point of sale in the central market of La Rochelle. Passionate about beautiful and good products, he opened his tea room 2 years later. His years spent in restoration taught him rigor and a taste for detail. Today, he mixes flavors and textures to create pastries that live up to his vision.

Théo Chereau Pâtisserie makes you discover a wide range of products combining the sense of beauty and the taste of goodness, all of this made with the passion of his team. Like the greatest haute couture houses, you will share an exceptional experience, where every detail is important. Thoroughness and precision are required to offer you a unique tasting.
THE SHOP in La Rochelle
Located in the heart of La Rochelle, you will taste a wide range of products. Seasonal pastries, cakes, sweets, macaroons, you will find something to delight your taste buds. As an accompaniment to these pastries, hot drinks will also be offered to accompany the tasting, while enjoying a place full of charm. To prolong this experience, you can take all of your pastries to share with your loved ones.
THE WORKSHOP
Every morning, Théo Chereau and his team make the pastries there according to the rules of the art. Made on site, the pastries are alliances of seasonal products where texture and flavors are thought out and meticulously worked to offer unexpected combinations.
