Roméo Créateur Givré The art of artisanal ice cream in the heart of La Rochelle

At 21 Quai Valin, on the port of La Rochelle, you'll find Roméo Créateur Givré. An artisanal and eco-responsible ice cream shop, everything is homemade.

At its helm is Romain Legros, a passionate craftsman, pastry chef, chocolatier, confectioner, ice cream maker and baker since 2004. He puts his know-how to work creating products that are as tasty as they are responsible.

Opened in April 2022, the ice cream shop offers ice creams and sorbets made from carefully selected ingredients : fresh milk from La Vache Charentaise cows, Montaigu cream, hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts from Lot-et-Garonne, Red Mayan chocolate… The sorbets contain 45% fruit for an intense and natural flavor. Among the original creations are Exquimos, Exquim'ours, and Cœurs tendres (cookies filled with ice cream). The signature flavor? Vanitine, a vanilla ice cream enriched with nougatine, pumpkin seeds, and sesame.

Ethics are at the heart of the company: compostable packaging, local organic drinks, mostly local and French raw materials, and clothing made from recycled materials. Winner of the 2023 Craftsmanship Awards in the "Young Business" category, Romain Legros embodies a new generation of conscious, committed, and creative artisans.
