La Ferme Glacée Farmhouse and artisanal ice creams in Surgères

The farm, located in Surgères, was created by the great-grandmother of the current operator. Sylvain LALOT is therefore the 4th generation. For more than 120 years, cows have been milked at the place called Bel Air. For the past thirty years, the growing urbanization of the town of Surgères has made the farm very close to homes, making the activity less simple. Rather than suffer this urban pressure, the choice was made to transform the weakness of the farm into strength by taking the turn of transformation.

Breeder of Pie Rouge, the only breeding in Charente-Maritime, the choice fell on the transformation of milk into ice creams and frozen desserts. This is how La Ferme Glacée was born in 2022, after 3 years of development of the project.
Located in the heart of the town of Surgères, another specific feature of our development, it is available all year round to consume ice cream by the scoop or to take away in pots of various containers, frozen desserts, logs, and also to consume on site or to take away pancakes and various milk drinks, all prepared on site, to order.

It was Sylvain LALOT's wife, Séverine, who previously had an activity outside the farm, who took up the challenge of creating the processing part and works to promote La Ferme Glacée.
