After spending around ten years on a wine estate in the Rhône Valley in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, Jean-Paul took over the family business in 2000. Back in Charentes, he continued his parents' cognac and pineau production.
The estate is located in the commune of Saint-Fort-sur-Gironde near Port Maubert and halfway between Talmont and Blaye. Nestled on the edge of the Estuary, at the foot of the Tour de Beaumont, on the limestone hillsides and swept by the sea breeze, this estate has an exceptional terroir. With his experience, Jean-Paul produces Charentais country wines. Faithful to traditional methods and keen to protect this terroir, he produces and harvests Chardonnay and Merlot grape varieties by hand.
Passionate, he will show you around his estate, his distillery, tell you about his working method and share a friendly moment with you around a tasting of his products (pineau, Charente country wines, traditional method "Perles Marines" and sparkling grape wine).
