  Sans Souci Gites is a small haven of two and three bedroom Gites located in the north of Charente-Maritime in sunny southwest France. Located in a small village nestled in the sunflower clad countryside with easy access to the A10 motorway, we are less than 8 hours' drive from Calais, 5.5 hours from Le Havre and 4 hours from Saint-Malo.
  With flexibility to accommodate parties of 2 to 14 people, this is a great place for families large and small or friends who wish to holiday together. The location is ideally situated to access many attractions within an hour's drive including West Coast Beaches, La Rochelle, Cognac, Niort, Poitiers, National Parks and Futuroscope.
  Each Gite is presented with its own individual character and finished to a high standard of comfort to make your holiday a home from home experience. Each gite has a lounge with both French and English (Freesat) TV and free WIFI. The kitchens are all fully equipped to ensure that you have everything you need. And a private, secure garden with both lounging and dining areas and a gas barbeque.
  There is a 6m x 12m heated swimming pool, communal dining and lounging areas as well as a games area for boules or croquet. The site is secure with gated access to ensure that everyone is kept safe. There is off-road parking for each gite.
  Local amenities are just 5 minutes' drive away Co-op, boulangerie, pharmacy, and post office. Large supermarkets are located to the north (12 minutes' drive) and to the south (20 minutes' drive).
  The owners live on site with their two small friendly dogs to ensure that you receive a personal welcome on arrival and to ensure the site is maintained in a pristine condition throughout your stay.

Linda and David are lovely hosts and William & Harry (the dogs) are very welcoming. The gite is lovely and the pool very welcome on a hot sunny day. Location wise, it is very rural, with fields stretching off into the distance behind the pool. We arrived to a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, pizza ingredients, water and wine, so you don't even need to shop before arriving.

Want to say what a welcoming and accommodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The Gite was absolutely perfect for our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, only wishing it could’ve been longer and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future.

If Google permitted it, we would immediately give Sans Souci 6 stars. This would not only be for the cleanliness and range of facilities but also for the very welcoming friendliness of Linda and David along with the two princes, William and Harry. We loved our stay of 2 months in the Wisteria gite which may have 3 stars on the official rating however it is 4 star inside. Greeted every morning at outdoors breakfast by Willy and Harry, pizza nights with David on the peel, chats with the other guests and banter by the pool, it was a joy! On the practical side, the gite was immaculately clean with everything you needed from a frying pan to a fly swatter. The bed was very comfortable and there was more than enough storage for all our two months worth of clothes. Comfortable sofas, excellent smart TV, dedicated wi-fi for the gite and it's enclosed area out back, with shared wi-fi for common areas like the pool (which is fantastic by the way, with great views across the countryside). We were the earliest to enter the pool, on April 7th and hope to be the latest to leave it since we have booked for a further 3 months from September. Go and relax at Sans Souci, you'll have no worries! Thank you Linda, David, William and Harry, it was a lovely time to have spent with you all.
