  We rented bikes from the shop in the Intermarché shopping center. We had reserved and paid on-site Thursday morning for a Friday 2 PM pick-up. We deliberately planned ahead for the Ascension weekend to avoid wasting time, as the weekend is short and busy for both us and the shopkeepers. I received a confirmation email. When we went to pick up the bikes at 2 PM, the person in charge of the rental counter informed us that she didn't have a rental under our name, even though we had come the day before. She seemed completely lost. We had already asked questions the day before, and she couldn't answer them. She didn't seem at all comfortable with the computer system or with the bikes. I understand that someone might be starting out, but had she received sufficient training? She was completely lost among the bikes in the shop. So, after 25 minutes, the manager arrived with some bikes. I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a goodwill gesture. He told me that if I wasn't happy, he could refund me and I should go elsewhere. I replied that we wanted to buy a used bike out of season, and he brushed me off as well. We had also rented a bike here to try out an electric bike. We wanted to rent early to enjoy our evening with our family on the island. We had to cut our ride short. 25 minutes out of a 4-hour rental costing €70. It might seem like a small amount, but when you're only here for a short time and have a set itinerary... And the lack of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable! I'm surprised by the quality of the reviews. We won't be renting bikes here again. We come every year. And of course, we'll buy a bike elsewhere to use at home... To err is human, but respect isn't everyone's virtue, especially in this establishment. We could have rented bikes at our holiday destination!
