Opposite the Saint-Martin-de-Ré penitentiary, Vauban citadel listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, the restaurant "O Parloir" opens its doors to you.

Far from the excitement of the port, we stop there in summer to meet up with friends on the veranda.

We play extensions with the whole family (even a large one) to celebrate an event under the large market umbrellas. In winter, we make a romantic stopover while enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the lounge and its fireplaces. The restaurant also gives the best welcome to groups or private parties. Its heterogeneous decor, its unusual objects, its original canvases will sharpen your curiosity.

Gourmands who like to eat well, those who like to mix frame and taste will appreciate the chef's suggestions.

A land and sea cuisine, slates that tell the dishes of the day : O Parloir, an atypical place, to share authentic moments.

More pretentious then it merits. Very nice locale and plating was pretty but service was slow and taste nothing exciting. Also very strict about the children's menu which was basic and being only until 12 years old, waiter loudly exclaiming in a rude way when we asked for an exception for our 73 year old grandmother with stomach issues.

Very cool. Enter through a dense garden into a wonderfully quirky dining room set under a sloped roof and ending in a mini bamboo forest, all brimming with art and a slick mix of antique and modern furnishing. Food and wine both universally excellent. Service in line with local standards, which is to say it’s not America so be a little patient.

Really lovely setting. However we waited 5 minutes to be greeted despite a reservation and 3 female staff chatting nearby. The service wasn’t very attentive, we had to pour our own wine and explanation of the menu not very helpful. The main disappointment however was the food. The dessert was the best part and the rest was a bit unremarkable and bland as someone else mentioned. It’s rare to have to season food correctly in a decent restaurant but I had to here. So lovely setting but wouldn’t revisit for the food or service I’m afraid.
