Olive Island Exceptional olive-based products in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré

Olive Island : As a farmer and olive grower on the Île de Ré, my passion for olive trees led me to create Olive Island. As an extension, I created the concept of OILS OF THE WORLD to showcase rare and exceptional terroirs in the most beautiful regions.

Les HUILES DU MONDE is about introducing you to unique oils that reflect the character and different aromas of each land. Domaine De L'Île Aux Oliviers in Sainte-Marie-De-Ré is the first organic olive oil estate on the Atlantic coast of ILE DE RÉ.

Domaine la Nina : Nestled in the heart of the Catalan Mountains, Domaine La Nina is a small olive grove of 100% Arbequina olive trees in organic conversion, some of which are centuries old.

Very difficult to access, the olive trees were planted in the last century, cascading over about twenty terraces. This olive-growing estate has shaped the mountainside. The particularity of the estate is that it is located in the TERRES D'EBRE E classified by UNESCO as a BIOSPHERE RESERVE. Thanks to this unique location, the olive trees benefit from the coolness and humidity of the mountain at night and the very hot sunshine during the day.

Product : Our olives are picked during the rotating season, which gives them a fruity taste with a pleasant length in the mouth and an astringent aftertaste. This is the typicality of an oil with a mountain character.

The olives are hand-picked and pressed daily directly at the mill to preserve all the power of the aroma as well as the polyphenols that are very important for health. Domaine la Nina produces a 100% natural extra virgin oil that will enhance the elegance of your dishes!

We have also developed an aperitif range through green tapenades, Provençal spreads, candied black table olives, and table olives with garlic and Provençal herbs.

For the quality of my work as a small, committed producer, I was selected by the Maîtres Restaurateurs de France.
