    • This biscuit factory was born in 1999 and in 2003 the opening of the shop to individuals. In 2018, the production workshop "Le P'tit Labo" opens its doors from July 10 to August 31 for the sale of brioches and cakes, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. 7 days a week.

      Daniel Vallégéas is a lively and daring entrepreneur who likes to combine creation and fruit from his region. First a baker, he then created a chocolate factory, then the Biscuiterie de Ré in order to give birth to a local biscuit. This biscuit factory was born in a context of strong development of salted butter caramel on the island.

      His first biscuit was the Rétais shortbread with fleur de sel. The latter has known and still knows a great success because the fleur de sel gives a unique taste to the biscuit. Gradually, Daniel expanded the range, always creating new flavors taking into account the tastes of the moment or the demands of his consumers. Today the biscuit factory employs 5 people in low season and 10 to 12 in high season.

      At the shop, Rue des Clémorinants in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, a tasting is available as well as a video of our productions.
