  A very beautiful place, this house is steeped in history, tastefully decorated, and the person who welcomes you is warm and friendly. If you are looking for a peaceful and authentic place, I highly recommend it. Céline Guillet

  Here is the message received from the owner of the guest house. I received a call and this message to warn me just before the evening before, past 8 p.m. The gentleman is incomprehensible and unpleasant. As soon as I ask him questions, why warn me so late? He didn't appreciate it, then he offered me dates, and I canceled the first night and booked to leave on August 24th.   Here is the message I received two days before my stay: Hello, I am writing to inform you that we are fully booked for your dates and therefore cannot accommodate you for the night of August 5th to 6th. You will need to contact Booking.com customer service to cancel your reservation as we are fully booked. I am sincerely sorry and would like to suggest two establishments near Maison Garesché: O'chambres d'hôtes in Le Gua Logis de Port Paradis in Nieulle-sur-Seudre Logis de la Gabirotte in Nieulle-sur-Seudre Hoping they will have availability. Sincerely, Gilles Guillemet, Maison Garesché. This is a rather inelegant approach, even if the explanation given over the phone mentions platform management issues. I have notified Booking. I hope I will not be charged.
