Réserve ornithologique du Grand Marais Papineau Nature Reserves in Saint-Denis-d'Oléron

The Grand Marais Papineau Ornithological Reserve is located in the town of Saint-Denis-d'Oléron, in the background of the beaches of Huttes and Seulières , on the Atlantic coast of the island of Oléron. This marsh is part of a wetland, which includes the Lagoons of Bétaudière. It is protected from the ocean by the Dunes of Barataud. This very preserved environment cannot be visited, but you can go around it on foot or by bike. Remember to take your binoculars, you will see many birds there.
