    • THE CABIN OF THE GOOD LIFERS IN LA TREMBLADE ON THE GROVE, IN THE HEART OF THE MARENNES-OLÉRON BASIN

A typical oyster shack in La Tremblade

La Cabane des Bons Vivants is nestled in the seaside landscape of La Tremblade, on the beach, in an area closely linked to oyster farming and the identity of the Marennes-Oléron basin. This establishment occupies a typical oyster hut, right by the water, in an environment prized for its authenticity and simplicity. Located on the port, less than 300 meters from the sea and less than 500 meters from the marina, the restaurant enjoys a prime location for a gourmet break focused on the flavors of the coast.

The establishment welcomes visitors in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, true to the spirit of traditional Charente oyster huts. Guests can choose to dine indoors, on the terrace, or enjoy the harbor setting while sharing a meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. La Cabane des Bons Vivants in La Tremblade attracts both locals and tourists, all seeking a seafood restaurant, an oyster hut experience, and an establishment that reflects the character of the Charente coast.

A seafood cuisine rooted in the local area

The menu highlights specialties directly linked to the coastline and local culinary traditions. Oysters, mussels, seafood, and éclades ( a type of shellfish dish) occupy a central place in the experience offered by La Cabane des Bons Vivants. The establishment follows a clear approach, based on promoting traditional French cuisine, Charente cuisine, and preparation using local products.

In this oyster shack in La Tremblade, seafood takes center stage in a simple, gourmet, and accessible style. The éclade de moules (mussels baked in a clade), an iconic local specialty, is among the delights sought after by visitors. Marennes-Oléron oysters, seafood platters, and mussel recipes offer a taste of flavors deeply rooted in the local heritage. This culinary approach gives the establishment its coherence, seamlessly blending the location, the products, and the atmosphere.

A friendly restaurant on the port of La Tremblade

With seating for up to 70 inside and 150 on the terrace, La Cabane des Bons Vivants offers ample space to accommodate a variety of clientele. The restaurant welcomes couples, families, groups of friends, and organized groups, with a maximum capacity of 90 people. This flexibility makes it ideal for a casual lunch with loved ones, a holiday dinner, or a larger event in a pleasant seaside setting.

The terrace is a real asset during the warmer months. It allows you to fully enjoy the harbor setting and the invigorating sea air of La Tremblade. The restaurant maintains a simple, unpretentious atmosphere, where the pleasure of good food is combined with the pleasure of taking your time. This ambiance contributes to La Cabane des Bons Vivants ' position as a restaurant on the port of La Tremblade, appreciated for its location and its distinctly maritime identity.

The establishment also welcomes French and international clientele, with service in French and English. This accessibility enhances its appeal for visitors passing through the Charente coast.

Simple but authentic. A smiling and pleasant waitress. Typical mussel dishes. Generous and delicious portions, and homemade desserts... A real treat. The view is magnificent too. We'll be back this summer to show our children this wonderful place. We highly recommend this restaurant.
