  A craft company deeply rooted in La Rochelle, all our knives are entirely made in our workshops. This quality work has allowed Farol to be labeled Living Heritage Company since 2013. 27 years after the start of the adventure, Farol knives are known throughout the world by sailors and present on the most beautiful tables. Since the first Cachalot model, other models have been developed as table knives. In any case, the object must be beautiful, practical and robust with materials that are pleasant to the touch for the handle and high-quality stainless steel for the blade.
  
  The workshop of La Pallice is the place of production of all our articles, an adjacent shop welcomes you there.

How wonderful it is to walk into the small factory that makes these beautiful knifes, that distributes all of France and on top of that able to meet the founder himself. A very humble man, a sailor that built his dreams and let's us in thru his knives. I only bought one of his knives but will be back to purchase another, he gracefully offered a little indenture on the back of the blade, that was done for free. I am so very pleased to leave La Rochelle with all these memories and what a gift to take back home. Only in France.... Hope this helps you guys and finds you well.

5 stars because we can't give more! Incredibly beautiful cutlery and excellently manufactured knives! Being a knife enthusiast, I couldn't help but stop at this cutlery during my visit, and fell "In Love" with this factory! Whether in its history or in the creation of each piece, the heart is in the work and the quality even more so! I would recommend this cutlery to everyone! Let it be a small auction 8 for every day, like a magnificent skeleton sperm whale knife for a rarer use (more trendy collection in my eyes) Go there with your eyes closed and let yourself be guided!

I discovered this Farol “Encan 8” knife from Gillardeau. This knife is a magnificent customizable handcrafted product with a special blade for opening oysters and other shellfish. I was immediately won over by the quality and robustness of the Auction as a professional. This knife was made for me. Thank you for your professionalism and kindness.
