    • L'IMPRÉVU is located on the Place de la Fourche with its old cobblestones in the heart of the Saint Nicolas district where the tree “Paulownia”, behind the Old Port. With a beautiful sunny and shaded exterior terrace.

L’Imprévu is an old mansion in freestone, with a beautiful private courtyard sheltered by an Art Deco glass roof; a vintage and industrial decor, then dressed with an enamel plate. A room upstairs (can be privatized) with frescoes bearing the image of the famous painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec accompanied by designer furniture providing a cozy atmosphere.

We have selected a wide range of wine, champagne and craft beers. We have specially designed our cocktail menu with its beautiful glassware.

      For the catering menu:
      - House specialty "Les Moules en Papillotes" cooked a la plancha
      - Ile de Ré oysters
      - Salmon Gravlax
      - Sea Board
      - Charcuterie/Cheese board

A young and dynamic team and a musical atmosphere will warmly welcome you for the summer season.

We are partners and receive free concerts during FrancOff (Off des Francofolies festival) as well as Jams during occasional evenings.

Nice little bistro with a short menu. We shared a planche apéro which was a good size for two and a couple of glasses of wine. Couldn't fault it and our server was very pleasant, she coped well with a fairly busy terrace efficiently and attentively.

Arrived before the kitchen opened (- opens at 18:30?), so had a cold glass of white wine (local Charente one) whilst waiting. Sat outside as the courtyard would have been too warm. Once the kitchen opened the waitress came out to advise us she could take our order....great service. The two of us shared mussels in Roquefort sauce and a small charcuterie platter ( two cheeses, four meats, radishes, and gherkins). Plenty of delicious food for two people. Highly recommended. Perhaps arrive early as we did, or reserve a table in advance (- is that possible?), as it gets busy quickly.

One of the best moules we had during our trip. Definitely worth a visit

Attractive little bar in a pretty location. Probably best to stick to cold food though. The mussels are cooked at the bar in foil on a hot plate. We ordered Mariniere, but the liquor tasted too...
